One day, all around the world.

No need to say anything special about the city of Paris. Almost everything is known about the French capital.

As early as the 17th century, Paris was one of the most important European centers for culture, art & science. The city also plays a key role in the art of photography. Nicéphore Niépce created the first permanent photograph on a polished tin in Paris in 1825. After Niépce’s death, Louis Daguerre patented the Daguerrotype, which became the most common form of photography until 1860.

The sights of the city are endless, with the most important ones being the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, Montmartre, and Notre Dame de Paris.

Museums (Musée du Louvre & Musée d'Orsay).

Musée du Louvre - I do not need to say much. Nor did you wait for me to find out about the most famous museum on our planet. One day is enough to see only his most famous works. Two Hellenistic marble sculptures, Aphrodite of Milos and Niki of Samothrace, dominate the museum. Also the most famous work of art on the planet, the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci.
Musée d'Orsay - The Museum was wonderful with several works being more "ordinary" (so that I know them too). It included, among others, works by Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir and Degas.

Icons From the Streets.

We started walking in the alleys of the city and reached the Seine. The picturesque narrow streets of the city make you feel that you are in another era, in another time period.

Montmartre & Pigalle Basketball.

Montmartre Hill in its northwestern part and is perhaps the most traditional district of the city. The main attraction of the area is its own straits. The Basilica of Sacré-Coeur also plays an important role in the life of the area but also in the history of the whole city.

Eiffel Tower.

The Eiffel Tower is the symbol of the city of Paris and the most famous attraction on the planet. It was constructed from 1887 to 1889 as the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair. Initially, the tower was heavily criticized by Parisians. The tower is 324 meters high and has three levels, which you can visit.

A small visual walk.

My Opinion

Without a doubt, Paris is a marvelous & magical city. Every part of the city is charming, especially its center. There are so many attractions that it is almost impossible to visit them all if your trip lasts about a week. After our visit to Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and many other sights, we decided to move north to the most famous district (once a suburb) of the city of Paris, Montmartre. As you approach the imaginary borders of this area, you begin to perceive a very different feeling in the air from that of the center. Most people look happier and calmer while amateur painters have set up their easels in the main square of the area, filling the atmosphere with childish smiles and funny caricatures! On the walk in the area of Montmartre, one must undoubtedly visit the strangest basketball court. Basically, we can say that it is a normal neighborhood basketball court, simply with the strangest colors, one has encountered in such a place. It is a touch that gives light between the buildings of the city.

As I said above, two Hellenistic marble sculptures, the Aphrodite of Milos and the Victory of Samothrace, dominate the Museum of Louvre. In a museum in France and not in Greece, but I am not the right one to judge the reasons.

The only notable negative can be said to be the cleanliness of budget hotels.
